Cables, Cables, Cables…..

I love massive wraps. To me, the whole point of it is to wrap it around you and snuggle into it. When I start a new design, the goal is always to make it as big as I want (it just doesn’t always end up that way). I would love to have a massive collection of wraps that I could use instead of a jacket. But, most of what I have now is all knit in fingering or lace weight, so not really meant for cooler weather. Then, I saw ruana wraps and I knew I could do something with that….

I got this yarn at Hobby Lobby almost a year ago. I am in no way a yarn snob and if I like the feel and color of something, I will buy it. The second I saw it, I knew I had to do SOMETHING with it, so I stashed it away until I could find the perfect thing. The picture is a sneak peek of the ruana I started back in late March. I ended up getting distracted and putting it into hibernation until Monday. It’s a DK weight yarn so it’s going pretty quick. It’s HUGE (to me) and the cables with this yarn make it feel SO squishy and soft. I just divided for the right front last night and I think it will turn out perfect!
